Genki 2010

What is Genki?
We made this page explaining Genki just for you!
What does Genki mean?
It’s the Japanese word for “vigour” and “vitality”!
Are there ATMs in the vicinity?
Yes, there are ATMs near the convention site; they are about 140 metres away.
May I sleep at the convention?
We have booked sleeping halls in Prøvehallen where you can sleep. To reserve a spot, go to this page: http://genki.dk/registration/sleeping-spots/. Due to Danish law, we are obligated to have people’s personal identification numbers, as we have to send a list of all the people spending the night at Genki to the municipal. We would however like to point out that the server used for this is SSL encrypted (as required by Danish law) and that the information will not be passed on.
What will go on at Genki?
All kinds of things! For more info, we refer you to this page!
May I take pictures and videos at Genki?
Yes, you may, but we do have some general guidelines concerning this, which can be read here. We (Genki) also stress that we maintain the rights to ask others to blur parts of pictures that may be unwanted by participants, or even to remove them entirely.
Who is behind Genki?
A group of caring fans, referred to as Genksters, is behind every Genki. We change the team up ever so often, but mostly it remains the same old souls. You can read more about who is behind Genki here.
What does my entrance fee pay for?
Well, thats a great question; one you need a great and valid reply to. We spend the money on renting the venue, decorations, materials needed, transportation of merchandise/game room, buying odds and ends for the manga library (often missing books) and the prizes.

Since the convention has so many guests and all guests can be at every event, we make sure that there is always something going on for everyone. We will try as well as possible to schedule similar interest events at different times, so that people with a strong interest in one specific thing will miss out on as little as possible. It will be impossible to please everybody, but this way we can ensure that there is something to do or something to see at all times!

Copenhagen is a really safe city, you just have to remember to stay smart and not run down the street alone yelling “Dattebayo“. That will get you beat up in any city.
How does transportation work in Copenhagen?
Genki is held a few train stops from Copenhagen Central, so it is close to the center. To get around town we suggest you take the train. We will further explain transportation on our location page which is currently under construction.
